SDMB Classic – Tucson Mountain Park

Difficulty—Intermediate
Pace: Casual and enjoyable – no drop!
Length—10 miles, 2 hours approximately
Description: This loop starts at Richard E. Genser trail head, just before the Marriott Starr Pass Resort. This guided tour loops the best of the trails on the east side of Tucson Mountain Park.
Ride will start at 9:30 am. Please arrive early and make sure your bike is all ready to go! Please have all repair supplies with you (C02, stans, bacon strips, etc.) and we highly encourage a cholla comb or tweezer should we brush any cactus! While on the trail, we may encounter deer, coyotes, lizards, and bunnies. Be ready for the beauty of rocky outcroppings and towering saguaros! Be ready for beautiful rocky cut outs, towering saguaros and the feeling of being completely tucked into nature, yet you’re just west of the beautiful downtown Tucson!

This will be an intermediate, no drop ride at a nice leisurely pace.

Location: Meet at Richard E. Genser Trailhead. No bathroom facilities or water at the trailhead.

Preparation: Be prepared with sunscreen, adequate water (2-3 liters), snacks, sunglasses, gloves, helmet, camera, and a MTB bike in good working order (tubeless tires highly recommended). Tire repair supplies also encouraged. No e-bikes allowed.
