More than 18,000 riders from 27 foreign countries and 45 US states were recorded in one year on these trails with a bike counter and Strava data. Highlights include visits to at least 2 petroglyph (rock art) panels, remnants of ancient habitation sites, an agave roasting pit, bedrock grinding mortars, pottery sherds, and spectacular views of the Catalina Mountains. Meet at the Big Wash Trailhead off Rancho Vistoso Drive. Location: 32.45005906107206, -110.94438766037375. No bathroom facilities or water at the trailhead.

Preparation: All riders should come prepared with a back/fanny pack for your personal items such as sunscreen, adequate water (2-3 liters), snacks, sunglasses, gloves, helmet, camera, and a MTB bike in good working order (tubeless tires highly recommended). No e-bikes allowed (land manager policy). Gravel bikes are not recommended for some parts of the trails.
