SDMB Poker Ride:

Come join SDMB for our annual community ride event!

WHERE TO MEET: The event is held Kennedy Park Ramada #40 (NW corner of the park).  We strongly encourage everyone to park at this overflow lot, one block away,  and walk or bike over so we don't overwhelm the Ramada Area as parking is limited

SCHEDULE: Check in 830am-930am. You must check in to get your score card (limited to 200 participants)  Rider's meeting at 8:45 AM. Participants head out at 9:00 AM; all poker hand cards need to be turned in by 11:00 AM.  Prizes at 11:45am-ish. Peddler on the Path will be serving coffee and Duke's Delicious will have hot slices of pizza!! 

THE COURSE:  We'll be using the new Portal Trail, Explorer Reroute, and Mockingbird-Shemwell trails, along with some of the trails at Enchanted Hills.  There will be a total of 10 checkpoints.  If you ride/run everything it will be around 13-14 miles.  Download Map

HOW IT WORKS:  You draw a card at each checkpoint. The checkpoint host will record it to your score card. At the end, you use your cards to create the best 5-card poker hand. The best hand gets first pick of a prize, then the next best, and so on until we run out of prizes.

We have an alcohol permit for the ramada area, feel free to bring a beverage to enjoy after your ride.  Alcohol is not allowed outside of the ramada area per City and County rules. 

There is no charge to participate in the event, but participants must sign a waiver. We will be signing up new memberships and renewals, as wells as selling SDMB merchandise. Cash, Card or Electronic payment will be accepted for those transactions. Grand Prize raffle tickets will be cash only at $5 per entry or 5 entries for $20
