SDMB Poker Ride:

SUNDAY, JANUARY 8, 2023  8am MST

This year the event is back at Kennedy Park. Similar course from last year which will include Enchanted Hills Starr Pass and the new Explorer trails

WHERE TO MEET: Kennedy Park Ramada #40 (NW corner of the park).  We are working on some overflow parking. We know the parking lot will fill up fast, please consider parking elsewhere to not overwhelm the parking by the ramada.

Tucson Mountain Park Rules

SCHEDULE: We will start check-in at 8:00am. and close at 11 am. You must check in to get your score card (limited to 150 participants)  Rider's meeting at 8:45 AM. Participants head out at 9:00 AM; all poker hand cards need to be turned in by 12:00 PM.  Prizes at 12:30ish.

THE COURSE:  We'll be using the new Portal Trail, Explorer Reroute, and Mockingbird-Shemwell trails, along with some of the trails at Enchanted Hills.  There will be a total of 10 checkpoints.  If you ride/run everything it will be around 13-14 miles.  

HOW IT WORKS:  You draw a card at each checkpoint. The checkpoint host will record it to your score card. At the end, you use your cards to create the best 5-card poker hand. The best hand gets first pick of a prize, then the next best, and so on until we run out of prizes.

We have a bunch of prizes this year. We will attempt to thank all of our donors on Facebook and email. Please stay tuned for a sponsors prize list.

We did purchase an alcohol permit for the ramada, feel free to bring a beverage to enjoy after your ride.

There is no charge to participate in the event, but participants must sign a waiver. We will be signing up new memberships and renewals, as wells as selling SDMB merchandise. Cash, Card or Electronic payment will be accepted for those transactions. Grand Prize raffle tickets will be cash only at $5 per entry or 5 entries for $20
